Program Highlights

• Practices to be held at Ardrey Kell High School

• CLT Elite provides all practice and match gear (except wrestling shoes , mouthpieces, headgear, and socks.) 

• Players keep gear at the end of the season.

• NCUSA Certified Club with an outstanding safety record

• Divisions are determined by age and weight for safety

• Early enrollment encouraged as roster spaces are limited (50 person roster limit)

• 12-13 Tournament Competition Events. 

• Season runs from April thru July.

Program Information

Important Dates:​

• Open Online Registration - March 15, 2018 

• Last Day of Registration - April 9th at Parent Meeting 

• Parent Meeting - April 9th, 5:30pm to 6:00pm at Ardrey Kell High School 

• First Practice - April 10th (For grades 9th-12th) ; April 11th (For grades 4th-8th)

Parent Meeting:

Meeting will be at Ardrey Kell High School, April 9th, 5:30pm to 6:00pm in Cafeteria. Parent or guardian of participating child must be present to sign participation forms. Paperwork can be turned in at this meeting if not previously submitted online. No equipment will be handed out until all paperwork is turned in and full registration payment is made. Registration Fees of $250 (checks or money orders payable to Charlotte Elite Wrestling Club and cash accepted) are to be paid in full at Parent Meeting Check-in.

Gear Handout: End of May, exact date to be announced.

Required Competition Gear: The equipment/uniform for wrestling consists of headgear to protect the ears, a singlet / wrestling specific shorts and compression top, and wrestling shoes.  (If you have braces or orthodontic devices a mouth piece is also required.) Shoes and other gear not included in the registration package can be found one our gear page

Wrestler age:  Grades 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th

Groups will be divided based on age and experience in the sport. Grades 4th-8th will practice Mondays and Wednesdays; Grades 9th-12th will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Practice Location: Ardrey Kell HS

​

Practice Times: 4:30-6:00pm Mondays and Wednesdays (grades 4th-8th)

                       4:00-6:00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays (Grades 9th-12)

Registration Fees:

$250 to be paid in full at time of registration / Parent Meeting. Includes Charlotte Elite Wrestling Club gear package and all team training practices on schedule.

Other Useful Information

Competitions are optional but heavily encouraged. Competition prices range depending on the level of event. Local Events are approximately $20. Competitions are a way for us to test, grow, and teach the knowledge, techniques, and principles of the sport as it applies to growing into a responsible young adult.

A Parent carpool will be organized to transport kids to and from competitions for those who need rides. 

 

Gear Package Includes- Competition Fight Shorts,  Official Club Practice Shirt, and USA Wrestling Insurance Card.

Wrestling Shoes, headgear, knee-pads, and other other gear can be purchased online or Dicks Sporting Goods.

Practice attire - Short and a T-shirt (should fit properly, no loose fitting clothing is permitted as fingers, hands, and other limbs may get tangled in loose fitting clothes causing preventable injuries), Wrestling Shoes, and headgear.
